Job Title: English Teacher – Enhanced Learning Provision – Sheffield

Location: Sheffield

Hours: Term time only, Monday to Friday, 8:35 AM – 3:35 PM

Contract Type: Temporary (with potential for permanency)

We are looking for an English Teacher to lead lessons within a dedicated SEN setting across Key Stages 3 and 4. The role involves adapting novels, non‑fiction, and spoken language tasks for young people with diverse learning profiles such as dyslexia and social communication difficulties.

Qualifications

• Holds QTS, QTLS, or an equivalent teaching qualification.
• Demonstrates experience differentiating creative writing, reading comprehension, and functional English.
• Uses low‑stakes assessment, verbal feedback, and assistive tools.
• Collaborates confidently with teaching assistants, speech therapists, and families.
• Possesses an active DBS on the Update Service or commits to obtaining one.
