To provide administration support at a basic level with basic supervision, to cover specific pieces of short-term work or assignments, or to support the basic administrative duties of the team. Additionally working towards a Level 3 qualification via assessment routes and collaborative University & tuition provider sign‑off.

Work
As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and gain new skills while working alongside experienced staff.
What you’ll do
- Using University IT systems, enter data to relevant databases, ensuring information is checked for errors against source data.
- Solve basic problems that occur on a daily/regular basis, using pre-prepared responses or material.
- Make basic decisions regarding work order and daily requirements.
- Follow established ordering and monitoring procedures to ensure adequate stocks of consumables are maintained.
- Arrange meetings as directed for colleagues and visitors.
- Receive telephone calls/emails and issue standard guidance or take messages within prescribed standards.
- Greeting and providing guidance to students/visitors and giving and receiving basic information.
- Undertake internal training as required.
- Attend college day release in line with college/training provider attendance policy.
- Maintain satisfactory progress as per the learning agreement.
