HR Assistant Apprentice – Human Resources, Organisation Development & Transformation (HROD&T) Service
An exciting opportunity has arisen in the Resourcing Team for a HR Assistant Apprentice. The role is part of a high‑paced environment and will support the delivery of a high‑quality recruitment service to the organisation.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the delivery of a high‑quality support service for HR Operations.
- Represent the service effectively through communication with stakeholders and participate under supervision in a range of activities.
- Update service information systems regularly, ensuring all data is accurate and relevant.
- Assist team members to ensure a high‑quality service for the delivery of services.
- Handle queries and correspondence professionally, courteously and diplomatically for internal and external customers.
- Develop understanding of the Our Manchester principles and behaviours.
- Engage in a relevant apprenticeship qualification during the role, gaining fundamental work‑related skills.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Existing right to work in the UK (no visa sponsorship).
- Legal right to work documented before commencement.
- Reference checks – two references with at least 3 years’ history.
- Proof of Manchester residency required (applicant must live within City of Manchester boundaries).
- Apprenticeship: 18‑month Business Administration Level 3 qualification; must hold grade C/4 in GCSE Maths and English or pass functional skills equivalents.
- Strong IT skills in Microsoft Office and organisational abilities to manage a multi‑task workload.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Commitment to self‑development and delivering quality service.

Employment Details
- Working hours: 35 hours per week.
- Contract type: Permanent. The apprenticeship lasts 18 months, after which a permanent contract and salary increase to £25,185 applies.
- Working style: Hybrid – split between remote and on‑site.
