Join Children Social Care as a Social Worker within the Locality Team. The role focuses on delivering the best outcomes for children and young people. You will be eligible for a Golden Hello, recruitment and retention bonuses, and reimbursement of Social Work England registration. Flexible working is available.
Bonuses include:

Responsibilities
- Support children and young people through robust assessment, SMART planning and effective intervention to achieve positive outcomes within their families and communities.
- Use a restorative practice approach to form partnerships with families and multi‑agency colleagues in intervening to address both presenting concerns and underlying difficulties.
- Lead and coordinate multi‑agency partnerships, plans, interventions and meetings to ensure children and young people are safe and their holistic needs are being met.
- Complete direct work with children to keep them safe, ensuring their voice, wishes and views are central to planning and delivery.
- Ensure compliance with statutory safeguarding policy, procedures and standards.
Qualifications and Experience
- Qualified Social Worker with a Social Work degree or recognised qualification and registered with Social Work England.
- Minimum of 2 years post‑qualifying practice experience, ideally within a UK regulated authority.
- Demonstrated competence in assessment and direct work with vulnerable children.
- Ability to safeguard against abuse and adhere to statutory functions, local policy and procedures.
- Commitment to one full week in the office every four weeks as part of the duty rota.
- Willingness to travel outside the Borough to visit clients as part of the caseload.
