Pastoral Manager – Key Stage 3/4

We wish to appoint a Pastoral Manager to work with Key Stage 3 or 4. Working alongside the Deputy Headteacher – Behaviour & Welfare, you will demonstrate commitment and a proactive, solutions‑focused approach in support of outstanding student behaviour and well‑being.
Responsibilities
- Support and improve student behaviour and welfare across Key Stage 3 and 4.
- Collaborate with the Deputy Headteacher and other staff to implement behaviour and welfare strategies.
- Act as a filter for information and handle situations as they arise, using clear and confident communication.
- Liaise effectively with parents/carers, students, teachers and other stakeholders.
- Contribute to the school’s pastoral planning and appraisal policy.
Qualifications & Experience
- Experience working with young people, demonstrating a commitment to student progress and achievement.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently, use initiative and collaborate as a team player.
- Commitment to the school’s ethos, aims and the wider community.
Salary & Hours
Salary: Scale 6 (point 18 – 20) £37,509 – £38,637 pro‑rata
Hours: 35 hours a week, 39 weeks a year (term time only plus 5 INSET days)
