Jewson are looking for a **Yard/Office Sales Advisor** to join the friendly, supportive team at our branch in Gillingham, Kent (ME8 0QQ).Due to the team size in branch, we are looking for someone who has a passion for sales, but also has a willingness to support the rest of the team. so this role is a hybrid of a Sales Advisor and a Yard Advisor.This is a full-time role working Monday-Friday 7:30-1700, and every other Saturday from 08:00-12:00.**What You’ll Be Doing:*** Identify new business opportunities and proactively pursue new customer accounts through strategic prospecting.* Maintain and grow existing customer relationships by understanding their needs, upselling and cross-selling solutions.* Ensure new customers are successfully onboarded and activated, maximising spend potential within the first 13 weeks.* Drive increased profitability by optimising margins and increasing the share of wallet from each customer.* Manage the entire sales process from lead generation to closing deals, ensuring accurate forecasting and pipeline management.* Conduct regular customer visits, product demonstrations and presentations to build rapport and drive sales.* Provide accurate and timely reports on sales activities, customer feedback and market insights.* Acknowledge every customer, ascertain their needs and wow them with quick and efficient service* Ask open questions to build strong relationships and understand our customers current and future requirements so we can support all their needs* Maintain excellent standards across the yard, counter and shop floor* Operate machinery safely and carry out key operational activities such as offloading, picking, packing, restocking and loading vehicles* Support business initiatives to increase sales, margin & service as required* Continually develop your knowledge of core and specialist product lines to meet customer needs* Loading and unloading vehicles both manually and with a forklift (training will be provided)**What We’re Looking For**Enthusiasm – You radiate positivity and possess an unyielding passion for the merchant world.Decency – You embody honesty and integrity, contributing to a workplace built on respect and ethicsTeam Spirit – You thrive in collaborative settings, believing that together we can achieve greatness.Pride – You take pride in your work and are dedicated to producing top-notch results.**Why Choose Us?**Quality – We’re unwavering in our commitment to providing outstanding products and service that exceed our customers’ expectations.Supportive Environment – Join a culture that prioritises your growth, with the resources and support you need to excel.Professional Development – We are invested in your success!
