EQUANS is looking for a Mobile Fire Door Maintenance Operative for its Knowsley School contract in Liverpool. The role is a permanent full‑time position (40 hours per week) and offers a competitive salary and benefits package.
Responsibilities
- Carry out inspection of fire doors at each site in a timely, efficient and cost‑effective manner.
- Perform maintenance and repairs of fire doors at each site in a timely, efficient and cost‑effective manner.
- Use the Bolster app on the PDA (tablet) to record inspection status.
- Build professional relationships with clients.
- Maintain accurate documentation of completed work.
- Follow procedures to ensure each inspection is completed correctly.
- Keep the company vehicle clean, tidy and presentable.
- Handle tools of various types and ensure safe set up.
- Adhere to safety guidelines whilst on the job site.
- Keep all tools and machinery clean and in good repair.
- Ensure all specifications are met.
- Communicate effectively.
- Liaise and undertake duties at other EQUANS projects as directed by Senior Management.
Qualifications or Required Experience
- Experience of carrying out fire door inspections and maintenance & repairs is essential.
- Recognised fire door inspection qualifications (FDIS, BRE, etc.).
- Ability to work unsupervised.
- Good understanding of health and safety legislation (SMSTS, IOSH or NEBOSH).
- Confident communicator with excellent customer interaction skills.
- Ability to manage and prioritise workload.
- Administrative skills, including use of CAFM system and Microsoft Office applications.
