Base Operative

Overview

We currently have vacancy for a Base Operative to support operations at our Heysham facility.

Responsibilities

• Loading and discharging trailers and containers
• Lifting operations
• Checking materials and maintaining yard and warehouse cleanliness
• Supporting the duty call out rota (1 week out of 3)
• Delivering good customer service and maintaining a commitment to health and safety; effective communication in a safety‑critical role

Qualifications and requirements

• Experience operating a forklift up to 12 tonne and working in a similar role
• OPITO approved Banksman/Slinger certificate is highly desirable, but not essential as training will be provided
• SAP and stock checking experience is desirable but not essential
