SEN Teaching Assistant
Location: Bamber Bridge or South Ribble or Chorley
Start Date: As soon as possible
Pay: £#removed# per hour
Hours: 8:30 am – 3:30 pm
Veritas Education are recruiting for a SEN Teaching Assistant for an Outstanding SEN School specialising in ASD. We are interested in hearing from candidates who have an interest or experience with working with SEN students.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide one‑on‑one or small group support to students with special educational needs.
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and external agencies to support the holistic development of students.
- Monitor and track the progress of students, providing feedback to the teaching staff.
- Be confident with behaviour management and de‑escalation strategies.
- Have good knowledge of the National Curriculum to support students with their learning.
- Maintain an optimistic outlook and determination to make a difference to children’s education.
Application Requirements
- Legal right to work in the UK.
- Willingness to attend a registration interview.
- All applications are subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure, professional reference checks and Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) in line with our stringent safeguarding policy.
- CV should cover the last 10 years of employment history where possible and all employment breaks must be explained.
- Experience or interest in working with SEN students is desirable.
- Experience in a variety of school settings (primary, secondary, college) is an advantage.
