About the Role

Our client are looking for an experienced and commercially driven Business Development Manager to support the growth of a fast-growing beauty and personal care business in the UK market.

This role is ideal for someone with strong industry relationships, a deep understanding of the beauty/wellness landscape, and a proven ability to drive revenue through strategic partnerships, retail expansion, and new business opportunities.

You will play a key role in identifying growth opportunities, building relationships with retailers and distributors, and helping expand brand presence across both online and offline channels.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and develop new business opportunities across the beauty, wellness, and personal care sectors
  • Build and manage relationships with retailers, distributors, marketplaces, and strategic partners
  • Drive sales growth through wholesale, retail, e-commerce, and partnership channels
  • Lead commercial discussions, negotiations, and contract agreements
  • Develop and execute business development strategies aligned with company growth targets
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and emerging opportunities within the beauty and wellness industry
  • Collaborate closely with marketing, brand, and product teams to support launches and campaigns
  • Attend industry trade shows, networking events, and client meetings across the UK and occasionally internationally
  • Prepare sales forecasts, pipeline reports, and commercial performance updates
  • Support expansion into new retail accounts and international markets where relevant

Requirements

  • 4+ years’ experience in business development, sales, partnerships, or account management within beauty, personal care, wellness, fragrance, skincare, cosmetics, or lifestyle sectors
  • Proven track record of achieving revenue growth and securing commercial partnerships
  • Strong understanding of the UK beauty and wellness market
  • Existing network within retailers, distributors, or industry contacts is highly desirable
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills
  • Commercially minded with strong analytical and strategic thinking abilities
  • Experience working with premium, luxury, DTC, or consumer brands is advantageous
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, scaling business environment
  • Proficiency in CRM and sales reporting tools
