About the Role
Our client are looking for an experienced and commercially driven Business Development Manager to support the growth of a fast-growing beauty and personal care business in the UK market.
This role is ideal for someone with strong industry relationships, a deep understanding of the beauty/wellness landscape, and a proven ability to drive revenue through strategic partnerships, retail expansion, and new business opportunities.
You will play a key role in identifying growth opportunities, building relationships with retailers and distributors, and helping expand brand presence across both online and offline channels.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and develop new business opportunities across the beauty, wellness, and personal care sectors
- Build and manage relationships with retailers, distributors, marketplaces, and strategic partners
- Drive sales growth through wholesale, retail, e-commerce, and partnership channels
- Lead commercial discussions, negotiations, and contract agreements
- Develop and execute business development strategies aligned with company growth targets
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and emerging opportunities within the beauty and wellness industry
- Collaborate closely with marketing, brand, and product teams to support launches and campaigns
- Attend industry trade shows, networking events, and client meetings across the UK and occasionally internationally
- Prepare sales forecasts, pipeline reports, and commercial performance updates
- Support expansion into new retail accounts and international markets where relevant
Requirements
- 4+ years’ experience in business development, sales, partnerships, or account management within beauty, personal care, wellness, fragrance, skincare, cosmetics, or lifestyle sectors
- Proven track record of achieving revenue growth and securing commercial partnerships
- Strong understanding of the UK beauty and wellness market
- Existing network within retailers, distributors, or industry contacts is highly desirable
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills
- Commercially minded with strong analytical and strategic thinking abilities
- Experience working with premium, luxury, DTC, or consumer brands is advantageous
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, scaling business environment
- Proficiency in CRM and sales reporting tools
