The Role
As an Activities Coordinator, you will be responsible for creating and delivering engaging activities that promote residents’ wellbeing, independence, and quality of life.
- Planning and organising a varied programme of daily activities and events
- Encouraging residents to participate in hobbies, social activities, and entertainment
- Supporting residents on a one‑to‑one and group basis
- Promoting physical, emotional, and mental wellbeing
- Building positive relationships with residents, families, and colleagues
- Celebrating special occasions, seasonal events, and community involvement
- Ensuring activities are tailored to residents’ individual interests and abilities
- Creating a warm, inclusive, and stimulating environment
About You
- Previous experience in an activities or care‑based role
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- A positive, proactive, and compassionate approach
- Good organisational skills and creativity
- Confidence working independently and as part of a team
- An understanding of person‑centred care and dementia support
- A genuine passion for elderly care and resident wellbeing
