SEN Teaching Assistant – September 2026 Start

Prospero Teaching are looking for SEN Teaching Assistants to work in local Primary Schools in and around the Colchester area to start September 2026.

CONTRACT/POSITION DETAILS

• Location – Colchester
• Position – SEN Teaching Assistant
• Contract or position start date – September 2026
• Duration / Likely Duration – Ongoing
• Contract type – Long-Term Temporary
• Full time/part time – Part time to Full time
• Minimum rate of pay – Minimum rate around 95-110 per day
• Hours – 8.30 am – 3pm

EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS

• Previous experience with SEN/SEMH is ESSENTIAL
• Previous TA/LSA experience
• GCSE English and Maths grade ‘C’

TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:

• Hold Right to Work in the UK
• Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
• Provide two professional child related references
