P/T SUPPORT WORKER – AYR

Support Worker – Personal Assistant

Position: Support Worker (approximately 15 hours per week, Monday to Friday with occasional extra weekend hours). This is a temporary role of a minimum of 6 months, with potential for permanent hours after that period. Pay: £12.60 per hour.

Responsibilities

• Support with personal care, including washing, assisting with difficult clothing items, bathing, and other personal hygiene tasks.
• Assist with household tasks such as changing bed daily, laundry, and maintaining clean floors where required.
• Prepare light meals and snacks.
• Accompany the client to coffee, shopping, garden centres and other social outings.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Experience supporting adults with health conditions or disabilities is beneficial but not required.
• Must provide two references, one of which must be from your current or most recent employer.
• Must undergo a New PVG Disclosure at the employer’s cost.
• Flexible and willing to work extra hours if the client’s health deteriorates; may also cover holidays and sickness for other staff members.
• Future training in Moving & Assisting may be required.
