Position: P/T Support Worker / Driver

Position: 13 hours (ref – 01/Irvine/JP). ROP: £13.39.

Working pattern: 2 day Mon – Fri and 1 alternate weekend day.

Flexible shift times may be discussed.

Overview

Primary responsibility is caring for a wheelchair user with a physical disability, living with his family and his wife. The role includes providing personal care, support with mobility, meal preparation and general assistance to enable a productive working and social life.

Responsibilities

• Personal care: washing, showering, dressing, continence care, medication administration, hygiene and meal preparation.
• Use of a mobile hoist (experience preferred).
• Assist with attending work‑related meetings, appointments, social events and other outings.
• Drive a wheelchair accessible vehicle using a full clean driving licence.
• Cover shift hours for staff holidays as required.
• Attend and complete any training courses arranged by the employer; training will be paid.
• Use appropriate PPE and follow safe working practice.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting adults with physical disabilities.
• Full clean driving licence and ability to drive a wheelchair accessible vehicle.
• Experience using a mobile hoist is preferred.
• Willingness to undergo a new or updated PVG disclosure and provide two up‑to‑date reference contacts.

Additional Details

There is a 6‑month probationary period. AILN are not the employers; this role is a support service for the private employer.
