Job Title: Sales Assistant – Brighton – Plumb Centre
Responsibilities
- Serve customers on the trade counter by understanding their specific needs and providing product recommendations.
- Respond to customer enquiries via phone & email promptly and courteously.
- Proactively contact customers to build relationships and drive branch sales, focusing on customers with reduced or inactive spending.
- Assist with general warehouse duties including picking & packing customer orders, unpacking and putting away deliveries, involving manual handling of heavy items.
- Drive a 3.5T van to deliver plumbing and heating supplies to customers, including building sites, businesses and private residences.
- Maintain high standards in the branch.
Working Hours
This is a full‑time permanent role of 40 hours per week, Monday‑Friday 07:30‑16:30 or 08:00‑17:00 with a 1‑hour break, plus 2 in 7 Saturdays 08:00‑12:00 paid as overtime.
Qualifications
- A full UK manual driving licence (advantageous).
- Prior industry or trade experience (advantageous).
- Previous face‑to‑face customer service/sales experience (essential).
- Prior warehouse experience (ideal).
- Willingness to work as part of a team and take on a diverse role.
- Proactive, eager to learn, with a positive attitude and strong work ethic.
