Long Term Futures are currently recruiting for a SEND Teaching Assistant to join a specialist secondary provision in Derby (DE3). This is a full-time opportunity for someone who is committed to making a positive impact and supporting students both academically and emotionally.
The school provides a structured and nurturing environment for pupils aged 11-16 with a range of needs including autism, SEMH, communication difficulties, and complex learning needs. All students have an EHCP, and the school places a strong emphasis on personalised support, helping each pupil to build confidence, independence, and achieve their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with SENDSupport lesson delivery and classroom activitiesManage behaviour and promote a positive learning environmentAdapt support to meet individual needs (EHCPs)Encourage engagement, confidence, and independenceFollow safeguarding procedures at all timesWhat We’re Looking For:
