The Role
We are looking for a skilled Chef de Partie to join our busy independent fresh food café in rural West Lancashire.
Based in a converted barn alongside three other independent businesses, we serve brunch six days a week, 52 weeks a year, using fresh ingredients and preparing everything on-site.
This is a fast‑paced, high‑footfall kitchen with an open‑plan, customer‑facing environment.
We are looking for a Chef de Partie who can remain calm under pressure, work efficiently, maintain consistently high standards and be a friendly face for customers.
You will be joining a friendly, close‑knit team with a positive culture and very low staff turnover. As an independent business, there is no corporate structure or unnecessary red tape — just a supportive environment where hard work and good ideas are genuinely valued.
What We’re Looking For
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a fresh food kitchen
- Experience preparing fresh food from scratch
- High standards of food presentation
- Ability to work quickly and efficiently under pressure
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Friendly and confident with customers and colleagues
- Passion for quality food and teamwork
- Reliable and detail focused
Why Join Us?
This Chef de Partie role offers an excellent work‑life balance with daytime‑only hours and a stable working environment.
The owners are hands‑on, supportive and genuinely value their team. If you are looking for a long‑term Chef de Partie position within a professional but friendly kitchen, we would love to hear from you.
