Job Title: OT Process / Automation Engineer (FactoryTalk / AVEVA)

Day Rate: £300/day (OUTSIDE IR35)

Location: Worcestershire

Contract Length: 3-6 months (extendable)

OT Process / Automation Engineer (FactoryTalk / AVEVA) – Role & Responsibilities

• Design, configure, and support industrial automation and control systems across live manufacturing environments, ensuring safe and reliable plant operations
• Implement, maintain, and upgrade SCADA/HMI platforms including FactoryTalk and AVEVA systems
• Develop and deploy PLC programs, HMI interfaces, and control logic across multi-vendor industrial environments (e.g., Siemens, Rockwell, Schneider)
• Support commissioning, testing, and integration of automation systems within production facilities, working closely with site engineering and operations teams
• Troubleshoot and resolve control system, SCADA, and automation issues to minimise downtime and maintain production continuity

OT Process / Automation Engineer (FactoryTalk / AVEVA) – Required Experience

• Proven experience as a Controls Engineer, Automation Engineer, or SCADA Engineer within manufacturing or industrial environments
• Hands-on experience implementing or supporting FactoryTalk and/or AVEVA (Wonderware) systems in live production environments
• Strong PLC programming and troubleshooting experience (e.g., Rockwell Allen-Bradley, Siemens, or equivalent platforms)
• Experience working in operational manufacturing environments with an understanding of downtime constraints and change control processes
• Ability to interpret electrical schematics, control system designs, and integrate automation systems across industrial equipment and machinery
