About the Role

Are you passionate about making a real difference in the lives of people experiencing homelessness? We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Rough Sleeping Support Worker to join our Housing Options Team. In this vital role, you will support individuals who are rough sleeping or at risk of homelessness, helping them access suitable accommodation and sustain their tenancies. You’ll work directly with clients in the community through outreach, including street counts, while building strong links with local services to provide tailored, person-centred support.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver day-to-day support to rough sleepers and those at risk, carrying out outreach activities such as street sweeps.
  • Support individuals placed in both temporary and permanent accommodation.
  • Work closely with housing providers, social care and mental health services to ensure coordinated support.
  • Help clients develop and progress their Personalised Housing Plans.
  • Respond to emergencies and occasional out-of-hours work.

Qualifications

  • At least 12 months’ experience in housing, homelessness or support services.
  • Strong communication and problem‑solving skills.
  • Confidence working independently and as part of a team.
  • Experience supporting vulnerable adults and collaborating with partner agencies.
  • A commitment to equality, safeguarding and excellent customer service.
