Job Title: Sliding Head Lathe Setter (Nights)Reporting To: Cell Leader (Machinst)Work Schedule: Onsite – Tewkesbury, GBRShift: Permanent nightsTraining: Completed on day or AM shift during probation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Setup and operate a range of Sliding Head Lathes
  • Engage in daily problem‑solving and assist in driving enhancements to the manufacturing processes
  • Carry out inspection checks using a variety of manual and automated metrology equipment
  • Conduct self‑inspections and complete necessary quality audits to obtain self‑certification inspection stamps
  • Work from approved engineering drawings, inspection plans, and shop documentation, accurately recording required data
  • Adopt and implement lean manufacturing principles in line with Moog’s standards
  • Perform basic preventative maintenance on machinery as per company policy

What We’re Looking For

  • A minimum of 3 years experience setting Sliding Head lathes
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to work to extremely tight tolerances and have a perfectionist’s mentality to quality
  • Proficient in inspecting components with diverse manual and automated metrology equipment to ensure dimensional accuracy
  • Demonstrate daily problem‑solving skills and overcome challenges through the effective use of your own initiative
  • The ability to read and interpret a range of different manufacturing drawings for complex components working in both metric and imperial
