What You’ll Do

• Work with Merchandising and other relevant areas to aggressively trade the product area and hit or exceed buying targets.
• Demonstrate a clear understanding of M&S customers, ensuring segments and demographic needs are at the heart of the product offering.
• Collaborate with Design to interpret and adapt to market trends, ensuring the conceptual global range is differentiated and targeted to customer needs.
• Analyze historical sales alongside trends and design direction to manage product mix.
• Work with global sourcing offices to develop appropriate supply routes.
• Provide leadership and direction to junior members of the buying team.
• Present the global range for sign‑off and effectively manage systemic elements of the buying process.

Who You Are

• Product obsessed with a commercial mindset, excited to continue the M&S transformation journey.
• Demonstrated experience as a Junior Buyer or Assistant Buyer in a menswear clothing brand, with a proven track record of developing and trading highly commercial ranges that exceed sales and profit targets.
• Strong relationship‑building skills and ability to initiate and sustain partnerships.
• In‑depth knowledge of cost‑price negotiations and global sourcing.
• Confident in developing and building a comprehensive product range.
• Solid understanding of merchandising planning and knowledge of the current competitive marketplace.
• Digital and global mindset supporting the growth of international and online business.
