Join us for the summer at Soho House! This is a seasonal role offered on a fixed-term contract through to September 2026.
As a Barback, you will support the bar team, ensuring bartenders have everything they need to deliver fast, high‑quality service to our members and guests. Your main responsibility is to assist the bar staff and make sure the member gets a superior experience by delivering drinks orders from the bar to members’ tables, acting as a point of contact between the bar and the floor.

Key duties
- Bring drinks quickly from the bar to the restaurants and deliver to members.
- Maintain a spotless, pristine work environment.
- Provide service to and be accountable for an assigned section.
- Develop relationships with members to provide personalized service.
- Polish glassware ensuring they are ready for service.
- Assist bartenders during service by restocking ingredients, running drinks, and retrieving supplies from storage or cellar.
- Perform opening and closing procedures, including setup and breakdown of stations.
- Ensure all service equipment is handled carefully and stored correctly.
- Attend regular meetings with front and back‑of‑house teams to learn about menu changes and specials and daily tastings.
What we are looking for
- 2–3 years of experience in a similar capacity.
- Basic understanding of bar operations, hygiene standards and stock rotation.
- Hospitable, approachable, passionate about customer service and respectful towards colleagues and guests.
- Ability to demonstrate competency as outlined in the training schedule and Club School.
- Flexibility to work shifts and schedules, including weekends and holidays.
- Ability to take direction, work in a team environment and autonomously.
Pay Range
£14 – £14 GBP per hour (UK).
