Apprentice Vehicle Damage Assessor

About the Role
We are looking for motivated and enthusiastic individuals to join our team as Apprentice Vehicle Damage Assessors.
This is a fantastic opportunity to start a career in the automotive repair industry, gaining hands‑on experience while working towards a recognised qualification. You’ll learn how to assess vehicle damage, create repair estimates, and support the repair process from start to finish.
You’ll be supported by experienced colleagues and a dedicated mentor, while also attending structured training with a specialist provider.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Assisting in producing accurate repair estimates
- Assessing damaged vehicles and identifying repair requirements
- Recording vehicle details, damage, and repair specifications
- Learning to use industry tools and systems
- Supporting cost control by identifying appropriate repair methods
- Communicating with customers, insurers, and colleagues
- Ensuring excellent customer service at all times
- Following health & safety and industry standards
Training & Development
- Structured apprenticeship programme
- Residential training blocks (approx. 6 weeks per year)
- Ongoing support from mentors and managers
- Opportunity to develop technical and professional skills

What We’re Looking For
Essential:
- GCSE English and/or Maths (Grade 4/C or above, or equivalent)
- Willingness to learn and develop
- Good attention to detail
- Strong communication skills
Desirable:
- Interest in the automotive industry
- Basic digital skills
- Previous work experience (any sector)

Salary & Benefits
- Competitive hourly rate (£8.00 – £14.71 depending on experience)

Working Hours
- Typically between 8:00am – 5:30pm (varies by site)

Important Information
- Apprentices must attend all training sessions, including residential study blocks
- A 6‑month probation period applies
- Applicants must demonstrate a professional and responsible approach to work and study
