Apprentice Flexographic Printer

We are offering an exciting opportunity for an Apprentice Flexographic Printer to join our team. This role is ideal for someone looking to start a career in print production. You will learn how to operate advanced flexographic printing equipment, including a 10-colour narrow web servo-driven press, while working alongside experienced printers. Full training and support will be provided as you develop the skills required to become a qualified Flexographic Printer.,

• Assist in preparing printing presses for production runs
• Learn to operate and monitor flexographic printing machines
• Support with maintaining inks and solvents according to job specifications
• Help identify and report printing issues or equipment faults
• Work towards achieving production speed and quality targets
• Follow all quality control and assurance procedures
• Maintain accurate production records
• Support continuous improvement in processes to reduce downtime and waste
• Work collaboratively with colleagues and communicate effectively within the team
• Follow all health and safety procedures to ensure a safe working environment

  A strong interest in print, engineering, or manufacturing

• Willingness to learn and develop new technical skills
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to follow instructions and work to deadlines
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
• Basic IT skills (training on systems will be provided)

Desirable (but not essential)

• Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment
• Awareness of flexographic printing
• Understanding of quality standards such as SEDEX or ETI
