Electrical Maintenance Technician: Cranes & Heavy Plant

Electrical Technician | Day Shift | Monday – Friday

Up to just under £45,000 plus overtime.

Jackson Hogg are delighted to be supporting their longstanding client with the appointment of an Electrical Maintenance Technician to join them on a permanent basis.

You will be working as part of a problem‑solving engineering team who are responsible for the preventative maintenance, inspection, fault‑finding and repair of cranes & mobile plant assets. You will be required to respond to breakdowns and failures using problem‑solving techniques to return equipment back into service within tight time‑scales.

Skills Required

• Electromechanical devices such as solenoids, thrusters and actuators.
• Electric motors and drivetrains, both AC and DC up to 400kW.
• Power electronics converters such as inverters and rectifiers.
• Motor control methods: soft start, direct online, variable speed drives, resistance banks and thyristors.
• Switching devices including relays, contactors, circuit breakers and proximity switches.
• 5+ years experience working within heavy industries.
• HNC or time‑served route.
• Previous maintenance experience is essential.
