Calling all compassionate and dedicated individuals! Mencap is seeking passionate Part Time Support Workers to join our incredible team in Uckfield, East Sussex.
As a Support Worker, you will make a real difference in the lives of individuals with learning disabilities, working with a diverse group of people to offer assistance with daily activities, provide emotional support, and help them live the life they choose.
What we’re looking for
- A genuine passion for supporting others
- Being able to stand back and support rather than do for
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build meaningful relationships
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, bank holidays, sleep‑ins and holidays
- A positive and empathetic attitude towards individuals with learning disabilities
Contract options
- Part‑time: 16 hours (with possibility of overtime)
- Days: Between 07:00 – 22:00
- Sleep‑in available: enhanced flat rate payment of £64.20 from 22:00 – 07:00, sleeping at the service and being woken if there is an emergency
All roles are subject to an enhanced DBS check and suitable references.
