Job Summary
We’re pleased to announce an exciting opportunity for a Highway Inspector focused on non adopted council assets to join our Transport, Engineering and Highways Team. This is a great time to join Redcar and Cleveland Borough Council, as we continue to expand our service and strengthen our technical expertise. Our goal is to deliver an improved, high-quality highway network that better meets the needs of our residents, businesses and visitors.
In this role, you will be responsible for the inspection and recording of defects across council assets in line with the inspection programme. The assets you will be responsible for include non-adopted footways, parks and cemetery infrastructure, drainage assets, and boundary treatments. You will form part of the highway inspection team. You will ensure that work orders are raised for any safety-critical defects identified, as well as support the development of the capital programme of works to maintain and improve the assets you inspect.
