Youth Justice Family Support Worker – Restorative and Education, Training and Employment (ETE) Practitioner

Derbyshire Youth Justice Service is looking for an experienced and motivated Family Support Worker to join our dynamic, multi‑agency team. In this role, you’ll support children and young people at risk of re‑offending, helping them build positive relationships, reconnect with their communities, and create brighter futures.

About the Role

This is a full‑time, permanent position within the Chesterfield, North Dales and High Peak team, with a hybrid working model and an office base at The Quad, Chesterfield.

Responsibilities

  • Work directly with children, young people, and their families.
  • Collaborate with a strong multi‑agency professional network within the service and with partners around the community.
  • Guide and advise colleagues on available ETE opportunities across our area and meet with children to support them in identifying and overcoming barriers to their career aspirations.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to working restoratively with children and victims, using skills in empathy and understanding to help repair harm between parties and support victims to move forward in their lives safely and with satisfaction.

You’ll be joining a service rated ‘Good’ by HMIP, reflecting the quality and impact of our work.
