MyTime Reigate is a day care provider for adults who have a learning disability with epilepsy, sensory impairment, complex physical and/or social needs.
We are looking to recruit a highly motivated, enthusiastic support worker who can work flexibly within our day service provision.
Our service offers a broad spectrum of tailored day opportunities through centre‑based and community activities, helping people to improve their social skills while supporting them to participate in new experiences.
We remain passionate about people, delivering person‑centred care through extensive therapeutic activity‑based support.
The post presents an opportunity for a caring person to work as part of our team, improving the quality of life for the people we support.
Essential: the candidate must hold a clean manual UK driving licence with no endorsements or convictions.
Main duties
- Communicate effectively and appropriately with people who use the service, colleagues and other professionals, maintaining professional relationships.
- Attend to care needs identified within the care plan, ensuring respect, privacy and dignity.
- Involve people in the development of their own care and support.
- Always maintain the safety of people, alerting senior staff to any identified risks whether perceived or actual.
- Work with individuals in a respectful and person‑centred way.
- Have a sound awareness of safeguarding issues and be clear about respective roles and responsibilities to report, respond to and share information in relation to safeguarding adults, children, domestic abuse and public protection.
- Contribute positively to the effectiveness and efficiency of the teams in which one works.
- Undertake any other duties at the request of the line manager which are commensurate with the role, including project work, internal job rotation and absence cover.
- Contribute to a health and safety working environment by adhering to health and safety regulations and Trust policies, and to the prevention and control of health‑care associated infection.
- Actively participate in the personal development planning process via supervision and appraisal.
- Drive a manual‑transmission vehicle.
Qualifications
- Level 2 or 3 NVQ in Health & Social Care.
- CARE Certificate or willingness to undertake the certificate.
Experience & Knowledge
- Experience working with adults who have a learning disability and complex needs.
- Experience working in a respectful and person‑centred way.
Skills
- Good spoken and written English.
- Basic IT skills, including the ability to use a computer, mouse, access various software and other basic equipment.
Abilities
- Ability to work as part of a team and to use one’s own initiative.
- Ability to undertake statutory and mandatory training, as well as other identified training and development areas.
- Ability to travel to various locations in relation to the working role (e.g., training and appointments).
Disclosure and Barring Service Check

Home Working Contract Only – eligibility to a high‑cost area supplement is conditional upon the candidate’s residence and will be discussed on offer.
