Teacher of Spanish (with a second language) – fixed term until 29/06/2027

Craigmount High School

Salary: £35,022 – £52,740

Hours: 35 per week

Craigmount High School is a six‑year non‑denominational secondary school located in north‑west Edinburgh, providing education for around 1,400 pupils. It offers SQA National Examinations and other accreditations such as NPAs and Foundation Apprenticeships, aiming to raise attainment and support a positive learning environment.

As a member of the teaching staff, you will be expected to exercise a style that reflects the school’s aims and values, promote a positive ethos of achievement, foster strong links with parents and the wider community, and develop the work of the school appropriately. You will also be encouraged to contribute to whole‑school life.

The preferred candidate will be required to join the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check. Where an individual has spent a continuous period of 3 months or more out of the UK in the last 5 years, an Overseas Criminal Record Check will be required. These checks are mandatory for an unconditional offer and commencement in the post.

Salaries will be in accordance with the Scheme of Salaries and Conditions of Service for Teaching Staff in School Education.
