Children and Young People’s Project Worker

Fortalice are aiming to recruit two Children and Young People’s (CYP) Project Workers to join our dynamic, hard‑working team. Are you empathic, resilient, passionate and dedicated? Purpose of the role

The CYP Project Worker will support children and young people in the Bolton borough to work through trauma as a result of exposure to domestic abuse. Attendance, participation, and collaboration at multi‑agency meetings is a key part of the role.

Responsibilities

• Assess, support, and educate children and young people both individually and in group work sessions.
• Participate in multi‑agency meetings and collaborate with external organisations.
• Provide community‑based support with an office base within our Children, Young People and Education Hub.
• Identify and assist with safeguarding issues and provide practical assistance to help children and young people recover from domestic abuse.
• Deliver services that are needs‑led, offering appointments and support tailored to the individual child or young person.

Qualifications

• Ability to build and develop supportive relationships with children and young people, maintaining professional boundaries.
• Knowledge of domestic abuse and its effects on women and children.
• Sound understanding of safeguarding, child protection, early help, and adults at risk, and a commitment to follow procedure.

Requirements

• Current valid driving licence.
• Access to a vehicle with business insurance for work.
• Commitment to attend community‑based work across different venues.
