Female Support Worker – Learning Disabilities & Autism Services

Location: Shrewsbury Area (SY5)

Salary: £12.89 per hour + £63 sleep-in

Hours: Full Time & Part Time available (Full Time 37.5 hours per week)

Estimated Earnings: Up to approximately £29,671 per year including regular sleep duties

We are currently recruiting for compassionate and dedicated Female Support Workers to join a specialist care service supporting young adults with learning disabilities, Autism and physical disabilities within a semi-independent community setting.

Female applicants only – this is a genuine occupational requirement in accordance with the Equality Act 2010 due to personal care needs within the service.

This is a rewarding opportunity to make a genuine difference by supporting individuals to live independently, develop daily living skills and access activities within the community.

Responsibilities

  • Supporting individuals with daily routines and personal care
  • Promoting independence and wellbeing
  • Encouraging community engagement and social activities
  • Working as part of a supportive team
  • Maintaining accurate records and reports
  • Supporting individuals with emotional and behavioural needs

Qualifications

  • Caring and patient individuals
  • Good communication skills
  • Drivers with a full UK manual licence and own vehicle
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Basic IT skills
  • Previous care experience desirable but not essential as full training is provided
