Seat Trimmer / Pattern Maker

Join an engineering SME specialized in military seating manufacturing. The role is focused on developing patterns and producing seat covers within a specialist R&D environment.

Salary & Hours

Salary: c£30,000 to £35,000 (guide). Working hours: 8:00 am to 5:00 pm Monday–Thursday, 8:00 am to 1:30 pm Friday. Overtime at 1.5×. 23 days holiday plus bank holidays.

Responsibilities

• Develop and interpret seat patterns based on design specifications.
• Cut, sew and trim upholstery materials accurately to match seat patterns.
• Operate sewing machinery to assemble seat covers and components.
• Work closely with design and production teams to refine pattern designs.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in pattern making or trimming of upholstery materials.
• Comfortable working from technical drawings to develop new patterns.
• Excellent dexterity and craftsmanship to produce high‑quality products.
