Special Needs, Attendance and Student Support Clerk – May 2026

Join an exceptional team at Conyers, a thriving and positive school where your work makes a real difference to young people and the wider community. At Conyers, we recognise effort, reward success and nurture perseverance.

We are looking for a dedicated, organised and reliable person to join our SEND, Attendance and Student Support teams.

From June 2026, we are looking to appoint someone who is methodical, accurate and confident in administrative work. Experience of SEND, attendance, first aid, medication or school administration would be helpful, but the right approach and attention to detail are just as important.

The successful candidate will play an important role in supporting some of our most vulnerable students. They will help maintain accurate records, coordinate key processes, support communication with families and external professionals, and contribute to the smooth running of SEND, attendance, first aid and student reception systems.

This is a varied role in a busy school environment. It would suit someone who is calm, discreet, well organised and able to work professionally with students, parents/carers, staff and external agencies.

If you are looking for an opportunity to join a committed team in a forward‑thinking school, we encourage you to apply.

Responsibilities

  • Play a key role in supporting students with SEND by coordinating meetings, paperwork, records and parent/carer communication
  • Support the administration of attendance processes, including records, first response calls and relevant documentation
  • Support Student Reception, including student queries, timetable checks, illness procedures, parent/carer contact and confiscated items
  • Lead on first aid and medication administration records, including logging, tracking, stock checks and routine parent/carer communication
  • Proofread and check Individual Education Plans, student profiles and SEND documentation before circulation to staff
  • Provide high‑quality administrative support, including accurate minute‑taking, diary management, filing, data input and routine correspondence
  • Liaise professionally with families, staff and external professionals, acting as a trusted and appropriate point of contact
  • Help maintain effective SEND, attendance and student support systems, with training and development provided where required

Benefits

  • A digitally innovative iPads for Learning school with excellent facilities.
  • A collaborative and supportive team ethos across the school.
  • A strong focus on staff wellbeing, with events and activities throughout the year.
  • Opportunities to join fantastic trips and visits across the world.
  • A free iPad to support your role.
  • Free Microsoft Office 365 and Google Workspace for personal use.
  • Free annual flu vaccination.
