Street Collection BELFAST CITY CENTRE

We’re looking for friendly, reliable volunteers to carry out street collections and raise money for our SLATE, GABLE, and Helping Hands Projects – changing lives every day.

What we do:

• Preventative Home Improvements: Our GABLE project assists over 600 older and disabled individuals annually with home adaptations to prevent them from becoming homeless in the first place.
• Youth Transition Housing: Our SLATE project uses a “Step‑Up Step‑Down” model, providing self‑contained accommodation for young people (16–25) for up to two years to build independent living skills.

What We Provide

• Full training, guidance, and ongoing support
• High‑vis jacket and all necessary materials
• A clear list of locations and conversation tips
• A supportive volunteer supervisor who values your input

You’ll also gain valuable experience, including:

• Representing a well‑respected organisation
• Building confidence and communication skills
• Developing time management and a professional approach

Tasks and responsibilities

• Standing in strategic locations within Belfast City Centre on Friday 5th June with a collection box
• Acting as a friendly and professional ambassador for our charity
• This is ideal for corporate teams as well as individuals. Time commitment? Anywhere from 1 hr to 5 hrs for this single event day.
