Hours: 37.5 hours per week (Wake Nights)

Overview

A caring and supportive residential childcare service in South East England is seeking a reliable and compassionate Wake Night Support Worker to join its dedicated team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys supporting children and young people, working within a friendly team environment and helping to maintain a calm, safe and welcoming home during night-time hours.

Responsibilities

• Carry out regular well‑being checks.
• Provide reassurance and support to young people who wake during the night.
• Help maintain a safe, comfortable and homely environment.
• Complete night reports and handovers for the daytime team.
• Assist with light household duties such as laundry and tidying.
• Support routines and preparations for the following day.
• Attend training, team meetings and supervision sessions as required.

Ideal Candidate

• Friendly, caring and dependable.
• Can work independently and as part of a team.
• Confident communicator with good record‑keeping skills.
• Passionate about supporting children and young people.
• Calm, organised and positive in their approach.
• Must have a full UK Driving Licence.
• Level 3 qualification in Residential Childcare, or willingness to work towards one (essential).
• Understanding of safeguarding and child‑protection practices (essential).
