Are you looking to join our trees and woodlands team?
We are looking for a reliable and proactive individual to help maintain our operational areas, ensuring they remain safe, organised, and efficient for daily use. As the base for the Council’s Trees & Woodlands Team, the Beaumont Park Depot plays a vital role in supporting essential environmental and grounds operations across the area.
This is a part time role working 5 days a week (08:30 – 14:00) on a permanent basis. You will be located at the Council’s Beaumont Park Depot.
You will be a qualified plant operator, including forklift and tele-handler with loading shovel. Have a full driving licence.
You will be able to follow written and verbal instructions accurately and complete basic documentation as required. You will be confident managing a wide range of deliveries to the depot and able to work outdoors in all weather conditions, including carrying out tasks involving manual handling. A good understanding of relevant health and safety practices is essential, along with the ability to work independently and carry out duties with minimal managerial supervision.
What we can offer you
As well as the satisfaction of helping to improve thousands of lives across Leicester, you can look forward to a work environment that encourages a healthy work/life balance. You’ll enjoy generous annual leave, membership of the Local Government Pension Scheme and the option of flexible working.
