Placement Programme
The Placement Surveying Programme is a 12‑month programme that gives you comprehensive exposure to surveying within Utilities & Infrastructure. By working on live projects, learning from industry experts and participating in networking opportunities, you will develop the technical and professional skills needed for a career and gain academic credits toward your degree.
Key responsibilities
- Provide land and property advice to a range of clients, helping them to make informed decisions.
- Assist with heads of terms and contractual agreements with stakeholders to support infrastructure delivery.
- Help put up notices to inform land owners of client schemes.
- Review and advise on various land types, undertaking schedules of condition of private land.
- Visit sites to witness the impact of utilities & infrastructure work and monitor progress.
- Assess the financial impact of projects, agree compensation claims, and value land and property.
- Support tenancy agreements and ensure legal compliance.
- Collaborate with the wider team and clients to problem‑solve, advise on risks and reach solutions.
- Deliver large‑scale schemes through innovative big data, technology and reporting functions.
What we expect from you
We don’t expect you to be an expert from day one; we look for the right combination of skills and attributes such as proactivity, problem‑solving, and a keen eye for detail. To enrol, you must hold a RICS accredited or relevant degree, a full UK driving licence and your own means of transport.
