Main duties of the job

We are currently recruiting for a Wellbeing Coordinator to be based at Sue Ryder Thorpe Hall Hospice in Peterborough with regular travel to St Johns Hospice in Moggerhanger

The Wellbeing Coordinator will work as part of the Wellbeing and Community Support Services team who are responsible for helping us to provide more of the support that people need, in more accessible ways, to more communities.

Job responsibilities

We are currently recruiting for a Wellbeing Coordinator to be based at Sue Ryder Thorpe Hall Hospice in Peterborough with regular travel to St Johns Hospice in Moggerhanger

The Wellbeing Coordinator will work as part of the Wellbeing and Community Support Services team who are responsible for helping us to provide more of the support that people need, in more accessible ways, to more communities. You will do this by:

Introducing a range of emotional support aligned to the specific needs of the individual.

Connecting service users or families with practical support, where needed, including links to social care.

Working with relevant local faith and community leaders, local organisations and other local groups and individuals to support spiritual and specialist diverse needs of service users and family members.

Increasing Sue Ryders wellbeing community-based services

Continuing to develop and implement local and national initiatives which support the wellbeing of staff and volunteers across the Charity.

Person Specification

Qualifications

  • Qualifications in healthcare, social care or healthcare support services desirable
  • Experience using counselling or coaching skills to enable positive listening and
  • problem solving and interpreting assessment outcomes
  • Experience of providing face to face support for individuals or families in a care or
  • support setting
