Highway Safety Inspector

Our client, a prominent entity in the highways sector, is seeking a Highway Safety Inspector on a contract basis. The role is integral to maintaining the quality and safety of the highway infrastructure, adhering to best practices and regulatory codes of conduct.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conducting routine highway safety inspections
• Dealing with customer enquiries in accordance with the Highway Infrastructure Asset Management Plan
• Implementing risk-based approaches as set out in the Well-Managed Highway Code of Practice
• Identifying and reporting defects
• Performing risk assessments associated with highway safety

Job Requirements:

• Experience in highway safety inspections, particularly within local authority regimes
• Understanding of the Highway Infrastructure Asset Management Plan
• Familiarity with inspection systems such as Symology, Aurora, or similar
• Relevant professional accreditations or certificates
• Excellent communication skills for dealing with customer enquiries
• Strong analytical skills for defect identification and risk assessment
