We utilise zero‑hour contracts, which provide exceptional flexibility in your work schedule, adapting to the dynamic needs of our guest experiences and vibrant atmosphere.

The Food and Beverage Assistant will play a crucial role in delivering an exceptional dining experience to our guests. Working closely with the Food and Beverage team, they will provide a welcoming, courteous and efficient service, ensuring all aspects of service run effectively and that our guests have a positive and memorable experience.

Schedule

20 hours a week, structured across a flexible 5‑day rota (spanning Monday to Sunday).

Key Responsibilities

  • Guest Relations: Recognise and acknowledge owners and repeat guests and offer them a personalised experience when visiting the bar and restaurant to allow for a memorable guest experience.
  • Guest Assistance: Greet and welcome guests with a friendly, engaging, and open demeanour. Offer guests information about the food and beverage menus, make personalised recommendations, take and process orders, relay orders to kitchen and bar, and deliver orders promptly and attentively.
  • Attention to detail: Verify the accuracy of orders before serving to ensure that they meet guest requirements; pay close attention to food safety and allergen procedures.
  • Coffee & Tea Preparation: Prepare a wide range of coffee and tea beverages, including espresso, cappuccinos, lattes, cold brews, and artisanal teas, adhering to high‑quality standards and crafting latte art.
  • Bar Preparation: Assist in setting up the bar area before service, restocking supplies, garnishes and glassware; maintain cleanliness and organisation of the bar.
  • Table Preparation: Set up and prepare dining tables; monitor tables, clear used dishes, reset for incoming guests; ensure cleanliness and organisation of the dining area.
  • Bar Maintenance: Prepare a variety of non‑alcoholic and alcoholic beverages following recipes and standards; maintain and clean equipment; monitor inventory levels and report shortages.
  • Billing and Payment: Present bills, process payments, handle cash and credit card transactions accurately, and assist guests with billing queries.
  • Knowledge of Menu and Specials: Stay informed about the restaurant’s menu, daily specials and beverage offerings; describe menu items, ingredients and preparation techniques.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Work with and support the Food and Beverage team to maintain smooth operation, execute special promotions or events and support training of other staff members.
  • Hygiene and Safety: Report safety or security concerns, enforce safety measures, adhere to food safety and sanitation regulations and follow service and health and safety procedures.
  • Sustainability: Promote and implement sustainability initiatives as directed by Escapade, Silverstone.

Performance Will Be Checked Against The Following

  • Detailed objectives will be set through the Personal Development Review (PDR) process.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

  • Experience in a 4‑star or 5‑star hotel or any other lifestyle/distinctive brand is desirable but not required.
  • Holding a personal licence is desirable.
  • A strong, yet positive guest service style.
  • Organised and able to work within a team or on their own.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • A good command of the English language. Additional languages are advantageous.
  • Maintains impeccable personal grooming standards while radiating an aura of elegance and refinement.
  • Full clean UK driving licence is desirable.
