Intermediate Planner – Construction Projects

Hertfordshire / Bedfordshire

Up to £60,000 + Package

An established and highly respected regional main contractor is looking to appoint an Intermediate Planner to support the delivery of a diverse portfolio of construction projects across the Home Counties.

Based out of either the Hertfordshire or Bedfordshire office, you will play a key role in the pre-construction and delivery phases of projects within the education, commercial and healthcare sectors, working on a mixture of new build developments.

This is an excellent opportunity for a planner looking to develop their career within a collaborative and supportive environment, working closely alongside experienced estimators, design managers and operational teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Producing and maintaining construction programmes using Asta Powerproject or similar planning software
  • Supporting tender and live project planning activities
  • Working closely with estimators and design managers during bid submissions
  • Monitoring progress against programme targets and identifying risks/opportunities
  • Assisting project teams with sequencing, logistics and programme reporting
  • Attending project and client meetings where required

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a planning role within the construction industry
  • Main contracting experience preferred
  • Exposure to new build projects within education, commercial or healthcare sectors advantageous
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • Proficient with planning software such as Asta Powerproject or MS Project
