Permanent opportunity for an Assistant Quantity Surveyor/Assistant Commercial Manager
We are excited to offer a permanent opportunity for an Assistant Quantity Surveyor/Assistant Commercial Manager to join our dynamic Eastern and Southern team in London. Hybrid working, 37.5 hrs per week.
What You’ll Do
- Support the commercial manager by generating precise and insightful commercial reports, including CVRs.
- Produce cost reports, ensuring accuracy and commercial insight through collaboration with operational and planning teams.
- Assess subcontractor payment applications and prepare client payment requests.
- Issue vital contractual notifications to proactively manage risks.
- Maintain and update internal risk registers.
- Ensure all records are meticulously kept for seamless audits.

What You’ll Bring
- Commercial management or quantity surveying experience or equivalent.
- Proven ability to work to tight deadlines without compromising accuracy.
- A degree in quantity surveying, commercial or related profession is desirable but not mandatory.
- Strong commercial and financial acumen to enhance efficiency and innovation in your role.
- Basic knowledge and understanding of the various forms of contracts & legislation such as NEC.
- Experience of using contract administrative software, such as CEMAR and A‑site – desirable.
- Good communication and developing negotiation skills.
- Proficient IT user – Ms Suites/Excel.
