Job Description:

Responsibilities

  • Encourage customers to develop daily living skills such as cooking, cleaning, shopping and community involvement.
  • Promote social inclusion and help customers build confidence, resilience and self-esteem.
  • Work with agencies on behalf of customers, encouraging choice and acting as an advocate when needed.
  • Maintain a safe environment and follow relevant regulations and practices.
  • Cooperate with the Home Office to prevent illegal working; an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check will be required and paid for upon successful application.

Qualifications

  • Caring, approachable nature.
  • Ability to keep accurate records and share information clearly with the team.
  • Excellent communication skills to build positive relationships with customers, families and agencies.
  • Experience working effectively as part of a team.
  • Positive and accepting approach to customers irrespective of their needs.
  • NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care or willingness to work toward it.
  • Proficient technology/IT skills (Microsoft Office and similar).
