Teacher Assistant (Autism)
Position Type: Instructional Support – Non‑Certified Teacher Assistant. 190‑day position for the 2026–2027 school year. Salary: $20,932 based on education and experience. Non‑Exempt FLSA status. Minimum TB test required prior to work.
Location: Darlington Area Schools.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 60 academic credit hours from an accredited institution of higher education or an associate degree or higher.
- High school diploma or equivalent, plus Ready to Work credentials.
- WIN Assessment Level 3 certification.
- ParaPro passing score (minimum 456).
- Ability to lift a minimum of fifty pounds.
Responsibilities
- Provide classroom teaching assistance.
- Supervise students at all times.
- Provide daily care as needed (toileting, diapering, feeding, etc.).
- Adhere to district dress code policies.
- Maintain required confidentiality regarding students and school records.
- Support student growth and development.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
