- Shift Hours: 6:00am-2:30pm
- Weekend Work: 3 on 1 off
- On Call: No
Responsibilities
The Lab Medical Assistant III is responsible for:
- Collecting, receiving and processing of inpatient and outpatient specimens for testing
- Communications with nursing regarding patient specimens
- Referring specimens to outside laboratories
- Interaction with physicians, clients and staff regarding referral lab tests
- Performance of phlebotomy procedures
- Performs other duties as assigned
Credentials
- Driver’s License in the State of Florida
- Required ASPT (Phlebotomy Technicians)
- Or ASCP
- Or AMT (Medical Technologists)
- Or Paramedic
- Or EMT (Emergency)
- Or Medical Technologist
- Or Medical Technologist Eligible to obtain
- Or LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse) in the State of Florida
- Or RN (Registered Nurse) in the State of Florida
Education
- Required High School or equivalent
Experience
- 6 months in lab support and 6 months BayCare related –
Required
- 1 year of lab support –
