Maintenance Builder

Proposed Interview Date: W/C 9th March (TBC)

Salary: £34,505 per annum

Location: Long Stratton, Norwich, Norfolk

Job Type: Permanent, Full Time

Key Responsibilities

  • All general maintenance building work to maintain Saffron Housing stock and other premises.
  • Some bricklaying, roofing, concreting, plastering, tiling etc of a maintenance nature.
  • Building work in association with improvement contracts, minor works and small new build contracts.
  • Conduct work under the productivity scheme operating in Asset Management in the most economical way.

Education and Qualifications

  • Good level of general education to NVQ Level 2, or 5 GCSEs, grade C or higher, or equivalent, to include English Language and Mathematics.
  • Trade apprenticeship, or NVQ level 2, or equivalent.
  • Full driving license.

Experience

  • Experience in all types of maintenance/building work.
  • Experience in working in an occupied property.

Skills, Knowledge and Abilities

  • Good customer relation skills.
  • A thorough knowledge of work in relation to their trade.
  • An ability to prioritise their own workload to meet specific timescales and deadlines.

Personal Attributes

  • The ability to communicate at all levels.
  • Have a positive can do attitude.
  • To be a team player to ensure Asset Management maintain efficiency.
