Delivery Driver / Vehicle Inspector (Trade Plate Driver)
About Us: We are a leading vehicle transportation company throughout the UK, dedicated to providing reliable and efficient vehicle movement services across the nation. Our company is ever expanding so we are seeking Driver/Inspectors to join our dynamic team on a self‑employed basis who are self‑motivated, able to communicate well with others and display a professional manner. If you have no experience, full training will be given. This role is Monday to Friday.
Job Summary & Purpose
The role involves conducting vehicle inspections and delivering vehicles on trade plates from one location to another across the UK. You will complete vehicle appraisals using our latest handheld devices and the FleetPlus technology system. You will regularly meet with customers to deliver vehicles in person, so strong customer service skills are essential. You will benefit from extensive training and work alongside a dedicated transport team who allocate your workload and keep in touch with you throughout the day. A good knowledge of the UK road system and a good geographical understanding is advantageous.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough vehicle inspections.
- Deliver vehicles on trade plates Monday-Friday.
- Appraise vehicles using FleetPlus handheld devices.
- Meet customers in person for vehicle deliveries.
- Coordinate with transport team for workload allocation.
Requirements
- Be over 25 for insurance purposes.
- Have private off‑road parking to hold a vehicle overnight (e.g., a drive).
- Hold a UK licence for more than 2 years (EU licence not accepted).
- Have no more than 6 points on your licence.
- No motoring offences including DVLA codes: DR10, TT99, etc.
