Oxfordshire | Up to £80,000 DOE + Excellent Benefits

  • Do you enjoy taking products from concept through to volume manufacture?

  • Are you equally comfortable designing electronics, writing embedded software, and working closely with manufacturing partners?

  • Would you like to join an innovative clean technology business developing intelligent products that help create a more sustainable future?

Our client is an ambitious and rapidly growing technology company at the forefront of smart energy innovation. Their products are helping households and businesses improve energy efficiency, embrace smarter energy usage, and contribute to a more flexible and sustainable energy system.

As they continue to scale, they are looking for an experienced Electronics Engineer who enjoys variety, takes ownership, and thrives in a fast-paced environment where no two days are the same.

This is an opportunity to play a pivotal role in the development, manufacture, and ongoing improvement of market-leading products that are already making a real-world impact.

Why This Role is Great

This position offers the chance to influence products throughout their entire lifecycle, from initial concept and design through to volume production and continuous improvement.

You’ll have the opportunity to:

  • Design and develop electronic hardware for innovative connected products.
  • Create solutions that are ready for manufacture and scalable production.
  • Develop and maintain embedded software that supports product performance and reliability.
  • Build and improve test systems, test rigs, and validation processes.
  • Work closely with contract electronics manufacturers (CEMs) to ensure smooth production and high-quality output.
  • Drive design improvements, cost optimisation, and manufacturability initiatives.
  • Take ownership of technical challenges and see your work move from prototype to thousands of units in the field.
  • Collaborate across engineering, operations, and commercial teams in a growing business where your contribution will be highly visible.

About You

You will be someone who enjoys wearing multiple hats and is excited by the opportunity to make a meaningful impact within a growing organisation.

You may bring experience in:

  • Full product lifecycle electronics engineering.
  • Electronic hardware design and development.
  • Design for Manufacture (DfM) and Design for Test (DfT).
  • Embedded software development.
  • Developing test equipment, validation systems, or automated test rigs.
  • Working directly with manufacturing partners and managing production relationships.
  • Supporting products through prototype, pilot, and volume production stages.
  • Delivering products in environments producing 5,000+ units per year or similar scale.

Most importantly, you’ll be a practical problem-solver who combines strong technical expertise with a hands-on approach and a genuine enthusiasm for developing great products.

If your experience doesn’t match every point above but you have transferable skills and a passion for electronics engineering, we’d still love to hear from you.

What’s on Offer?

  • Salary up to £80,000 depending on experience
