Overview

The school promotes a positive and inclusive learning environment, with a strong focus on high standards, student wellbeing and helping learners develop the confidence to succeed. We are looking to appoint a Teacher of Child Development on a temporary to permanent basis. The successful teacher will plan and deliver high‑quality Child Development lessons, support students with coursework, prepare learners for assessments, and maintain excellent classroom standards across Key Stage 4 and Key Stage 5.

Responsibilities

Plan and deliver engaging Child Development lessons for Key Stage 4 and Key Stage 5 students.

Support students with coursework, preparation for examinations, and establish and maintain high classroom standards.

Qualifications

  • QTS with a Child Development, Health and Social Care, DT or relevant teaching specialism
  • Experience teaching Child Development within a UK secondary school
  • Strong knowledge of the Child Development curriculum and assessment requirements
  • Excellent classroom management skills
  • Positive, proactive and engaging teaching style
  • Strong communication skills and ability to build good relationships with students and staff
